Albuquerque Aloft Ascension Cancelled
Albuquerque, NM - Oct. 3, 2003 - At 7:02 this morning Balloon Fiesta Balloonmeister Gary King cancelled the Albuquerque Aloft ascension due to prevailing weather conditions. It is currently raining in Albuquerque with forecasts for scattered rain showers throughout the day today and tomorrow morning.
King encouraged the 141 Albuquerque Aloft pilots scheduled to launch from designated elementary schools to stay at the schools and teach the students some lessons from "Ballooning 101."
